Arkadi Vlaziev was born in Bryansk. Studied at the Kharkov Art institute until 1963. He worked and lived in Kursk. Vlaziev was ahead of his time by using bright colors and painting in an impressionistic style that differed substantially from the classical social realism that was dominant at that time. For this he was not granted a membership of the Union of Artists. During our visit to the Union of Artists in Kursk his colleagues acknowledged he was a true master in his own right.
