An exceptional painting of the old velodrome of Parc des Princes by the acclaimed painter Lucien Adrion. Adrion was specialized in Parisien city life of the pre-WWII era. In a colorful post-impressionist style he takes us into the excitement, the motion and the competition in the stadium. His magnificient angle of the spectacle takes us and the cyclists into and out and again into the stadium. As if the race keeps continuing while you are watching the cyclists go round and round.

The stadium was until 1967 the finish of the famous Tour de France with winners like Anquetil, Bobet and other eternal heroes of cycling. A painting for lovers of sports, art, Paris and cycling!
